But he could not bring himself to drain her. Just something about her seemed to pull at his heart a little, well...one long dead. Eldritch removed his fangs from her neck, licking the two marks of the excess blood. The wounds had healed beneath his tongue. He lifted her frail, limp body into his arms, brushing the black locks away from her beautiful face. He found himself fascinated by the fact he hadn't killed her, due to the fact he hated humans. Their weak bodies disgusted him, but hers was anything but. Although he enjoyed her fear, there was something else he felt, he couldn't quite put a name to it yet. He shook his head, clearing his mind of thought. No, he just had to get away from here before the guards of Braekon found him. They would most likely see the monster in him, and use their magic to burn him. Since, after all, his skin was highly flammable.

He proceeded to carry the young girl through the forest, mindful of the faint light at the edge of the sky that warned him of sunrise. He must hurry, he realized, quickening his pace to nearly a run. In a matter of moments he reached his small "Cabin". He opened the door, and stepped into the warmth of his home, locking the door behind him. He looked down at the girl's pale face, wondering what he should do with her. He hadn't really thought much of bringing her here, but now he didn't know what to do. An idea clicked into his head, as he carried her to a small room. He pushed a rug over to reveal a metal door in the center of the floor. After opening it, he jumped down, hitting the floor beyond within seconds.

What surrounded him was an almost dungeon like room, expanding the whole area beneath his cabin. It contained small cells, chains on the floor and walls. It reeked of old blood, from the torturing he used to do to humans. He could see everything perfectly, but to a human's eye, it would appear to be complete darkness. He carried her into an open cell, dropping her onto the ground and hearing the gentle thud of her body as it met stone. He leaned down and picked up a metal cuff connected by a chain to the floor. Fingering it in his hand, wondering if he should restrain her. Realizing it wouldn't do good, he dropped it and left the cell, locking it and dropping the key into the pocket of his trousers.

He walked up to the whole, a small light shining down from it. A small grin formed on his lips as he thought of what many things he could do with her. And how interesting things should get from here on out. He knew for a fact this girl held something special within her, he just had to be patient and find out. He bent his knees and jumped up to the base floor, closing and covering the hatch. He slowly walked into his room, sliding into his soft wool covers. Sunrise brought drowsiness upon him, and as he closed his eyes, he thought of what the morrow would bring. He drifted into the darkness known as sleep.
